Attention of the State to the Project.

At the recent extended meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management, senators discussed pressing issues related to the development of the agricultural sector and environmental protection in the Lipetsk region.
During the meeting, it was noted that topinambur is a promising crop for the development of the healthy food market and can be used for the restoration of abandoned and degraded lands in Russia. Its processing allows for the production of various products, including inulin. One of the main consumers of inulin is the baby food industry.
As a result of the discussion, the Federation Council Committee recommended that the Government of the Russian Federation consider the possibility of amending the Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation "On the classification of types of products as agricultural products and products of primary processing produced from agricultural raw materials of own production" in order to promote the development of production and processing of topinambur.
